I've discovered that the purpose of keeping
a journal is not to record what has happened
but to create what will happen.

-"Spiritcat"
This has been my intention all along.
I always fully acknowledge the past,
all my mistakes and all my successes,
but I am also living fully in the present,
and I am also looking forward to the future.

These entries are me in full cry.
    They address amazon, healer, stargazer,
    intellect, trickster, judge, and center.
In them I maintain, reach out, look up,
think through, trifle with, and mediate.
I possess complete ability to express
my feelings, thoughts and intentions in
all my relationships, and I express myself wisely.
If I don't tell others what I feel,
    they will never know.
If I don't show others what I think,
    they will never understand.
I know I am capable of great things, including
love, hate, strength, pain, trust, anger, and joy.
I listen attentively to all those I care for -
to know and understand, to resolve or accept.

But if I want to be heard, first I must find a voice.
I have the right and responsibility
to express my anger and remain loved,
and I take responsibility to clean up any mess
and restore harmony when appropriate.

They do address all of those.

But do they address you? I don't think you are ever just one of those or even a couple of them. You are always all of those facets and many more.

As time goes on, I'm finding that for me, the key to the process is simplification. I am what I am. There are many reasons why I am, and what I am is made up of a lot of different pieces, but the only thing that I can tinker with is the final product, as it is right now.

It doesn't matter why the parts are there, or even what they are. All that matters is the sum.

I would say they encompass me; what more would you say you see, truly?

I would say I have come close to being just one, only a couple, or even just a few,
in the past. However, I would also say that being all (and more, if indeed possible)
is better in a lot of ways. All of them are important to me; all of them have power.

*nod* We're not all that far apart in that understanding, I think. One's facets need to be
additive or multiplicative, not subtractive or divisive, to the whole. All the fragments
need to fit, not jar.

I'm not sure how I got the honor of being on your list, but thank you. I'm enjoying these little tidbits of sanity in a crazy world.

We've met several dozen times in real life - I know you through SJZ/BSFS connection. It's just I have been/am kinda shy about my LJ. Glad you're enjoying the reading. :)
