Do I feel better because I remember to take the vitamins --
or do I remember to take the vitamins because I feel better?

Yesterday:
+ definitely getting over my cold
+ Stojko has figured out the alarm means "Mom's awake! She can PET MEEEEE!"
+ drive to work went well
+ morning was productive, if a little repetitive
+ helped keep conversation going at team lunch
+ good about my diet at lunch
+ grocery store within walking distance for afternoon break
+ some sunshine, not freezing cold
+ afternoon was reasonably productive, with promise of better process tomorrow
+ being on same wavelength with project manager for once
+ good exercise session
+ helpful checkout clerk at Route 1 Giant
+ found out that the Popeye's in Laurel is a drive thru
+ kept dinner size small
+ did not snack later

Today:
+ slept well
+ rained overnight (we do need it)
+ can feel that spring is coming
+ saw a gorgeous black and white longhair cat
+ had an easy drive to work
+ morning was very productive
+ getting on same wavelength with programmer for once
+ afternoon was calmer, but things are still moving along
+ stopped by Mom's organic store on way home
+ no problems with drive home
+ fascinating cloud layers at sunset
+ beautiful image of Jefferson Memorial dome in the hazy dusk
+ listening to Springsteen's "Jungleland" across the bridge
+ getting home as the sun sets
+ leftovers were still good
+ watched "The Abominable Snow-Man" cartoon
+ going dancing to a band I like

Sometimes it's just nice to have someone else
carry your bags, even if you could do it yourself.

Long time no see, and I seem to have lost your edress again. I'm not going to go dancing this week (deference to phystherapist) but which of the myriad options did you choose for tonight?

Sorry to hear you are on injured reserve still. :( But do listen to your physical therapist - I went to one for my ankle and have always regretted not doing so for my knee...

Tuesdays I'm almost always found at Clarendon Ballroom. I live so very close to there, I feel really stupid if I don't go when I can. On Fridays I'm still flipping between CCB and Dulles Hilton depending on how much I like the band, though Dulles currently has the upper hand both musically and friendly people-wise.

Oh, and I'm even blowing off Lunacon to go to the Boogie Woogie dance at Glen Echo to see Pinetop Perkins. There will be other Lunacons... there is only one Pinetop. :)

With the end of football, I do have more Sundays available. Covert's threatened to take me to second sundays; how is Oella? I can offer that I've finally learned to lead the basic Balboa step, and am now working at my usual glacial pace at learning to lead. :)

Yes, please, drop me the URL for Oella again and I'll try to make it up. The Boogie Woogie is Sat. Mar. 15th at Glen Echo. Am planning to get there as early as possible, as it's going to be rather star-studded: in addition to Pinetop, there will be Mitch Woods from San Francisco and our very own Daryl Davis, etc. Wednesdays are really hard to figure out because I'm currently commuting from Clarendon to Laurel for the new job, which is not as bad as it sounds (mostly going against traffic) but is still causing logistical problems as far as where I end up at any given time. Staying up in PG County until 9 or so in order to go to K2... that sounds kinda interesting in theory but not realistic on a regular basis. I had been dropping by Nick's some Wednesdays during last fall, but that's very much out of the loop for me at present. And yeah, the Hilton *is* pretty far, but it has positives these days.

So:

are you def going on the 9th? I just realized I don't have Covert's current email address.

and I'll try to make Oella on the 16th, but not entirely sure on that one.

I'm quite familiar with the cat alarm clock! It's a wonderful thing, but then the cat decides for himself when petting time begins (circa 4AM these days). And yay sunshine w/o cold!
